Colorado allows notaries to charge up to $15 per notarial act for in-person notarizations and up to $25 per notarial act for electronic/remote notarizations.
A “notarial act” is defined as per signature, per person, per document.
Examples:
1 person signing 1 document = 1 notarial act
2 people signing 1 document = 2 notarial acts
1 person signing 2 different documents = 2 notarial acts
Because I come directly to you (home, office, hospital, coffee shop), a travel/convenience fee applies, based on location and time of day. Typical ranges:
Within Denver metro (city limits): $50
Suburbs / extended drive (outside approx. 20-mile radius): $75
After-hours (evenings/weekends): an additional $25 may apply
All travel/convenience fees will be clearly quoted and agreed upon prior to your appointment.
Photocopies / printing: $0.50 per page (if required)
Wait time beyond 15 minutes: $5 per 10 minutes
Hospital/jail/remote location entry fee (if applicable): will be quoted in advance

For mobile appointments, payment must be completed before I apply my notary stamp. This ensures the appointment time is secured and all travel, service, and notarial fees are covered.
Accepted payment methods include: cash, Zelle, Venmo, and other approved digital options.
In accordance with Colorado law, you will receive a written itemization of all charges before the notarial act is performed.
If no notarial fee is charged for the notarial act (i.e., $0.00), any additional services are still disclosed in writing.
Travel and other fees are separate and must be clearly communicated ahead of time.
